"Devil Lights"

Hey Guys,

We have a strange anomaly here in the inland northwest, that's been going only for the last year or so. The locals refer to them as the "Devil Lights," and the back story behind this supposed supernatural aura, are quite interesting in its own right.

About a year ago, a group of college kids at a local university (Eastern Washington University) who are tied to some environmental organization, disappeared out there, and though no trace was found, many believe that they just relocated themselves to the Oregon coast, where most seem to inhabit.

They are considered "Eco-terrorists," sabotaging logging equipment and spiking trees etc. Well, some people believe, that they are still out there, somewhere, and are tied to the actual "Devil lights" themselves.

Rumor has it that it was a mass suicide, or quite possibly even murder (though there is nothing to substantiate these allegations) and the "lights" are tied to their restless spirits. Or, is possibly some cult, or something like a coven.

I have seen them, or at least "I think I saw them." It happened fast, and I must say, they do have an aura of "evil" about them.

It almost resembles a red glow of eyes and a mouth, hence the term "Devil Lights." People are as scared as hell to venture out after them. Could be Bonfires? Could be the Northern Lights? I really can't say. But I do hope they investigate further as to the true origin (if any, I'm still skeptical).

I'm sure they'll be more info on this within the months to follow.

Event Description:
Me and a friend were up at his cabin, and I had gotten up early in the morning to fish before he woke up at 4:30 AM and I noticed three bright lights high up in the sky way out over the lake.

I had walked down to the dock, still watching, when another light came from out of nowhere and went to the middle of the three that were in kind of a triangle shape.

I also noticed that when I had come out of the cabin, I had had my headphones on and once I had walked out of the cabin my headphones batteries had died, which was odd because I had just put in new one before I came out.

As I watched the lights, I suddenly got a headache and the one in the middle of the three flashed brightly then after a while my head began to hurt more and more, finally I bent over and held my head. When I looked back up, the lights where gone even thought I had only looked away for maybe 5 seconds.

I quickly checked my clock and it was over 5:30 even thought I had left the cabin door at barley even 4:45 it felt like I had just come out of the cabin.

I have never told anyone about this before because I thought people would consider me crazy.

Event Description:
This particular incident occurred on property in the country. around mid-October 1994.

We had a large flock of lambs on an estate not far from where we lived. Me and my farther would check on them as often as we could. My farther was running a large sheep business at this time and I worked for him. everything seemed all right the lambs must have been at the estate for about 6-7 weeks. Then, something happened which affected all of us.

On the day in question, I was not with my farther, but off he went to look around. Sheep as normal which we had in a number of different places around the county when he arrived at the said estate. He opened the gates to the field and found a dead sheep (we where well used to losing a few sheep because of the large numbers that we had around the county).

He did not think that anything was seriously wrong, so he proceeded to look around the flock. He then found another two dead sheep and several more in different places scattered across the field. Something was definitely wrong. Also there was a number of badly injured sheep and the rest of the flock had been seriously spooked.

My farther informed us and then the police as to what had happened. They attended the scene. Obviously they where very sympathetic and told us that it could possibly be some dogs that had come from a nearby travelers site. They also told us not to tell anybody else about the incident, because it would cause unnecessary public alarm.

At the time of the said incident, there had been a report of a big cat loose in the county. This had been reported by one of the tabloid newspapers and there was a large manhunt by Hampshire police to capture/kill the animal. After numerous sighting by members of the public, not far from where we lived. This was broadcast on the regional news.

We soon realized that this was no dog that had attacked our flock because of the nature of the injuries. We brought back several of the injured sheep to our farm (one of the lambs had a large hole through its skull) There had also been another incident at which was only half a mile from where we had our flock.

This confirmed our theories. We never saw this cat, but we are certain that it was responsible for what happened.

Event Description:
I was in The Marine Corps and had to be to work early, at a provisional unit located aboard Ft. Story, Virginia. The Unit had nothing to do with anything strange or secret in reference to the government. We simply tested new technology to move cargo from ship to shore in the event of a conflict.

As I sat in the living room that morning, it was still early and the sun had not quite come up yet. I heard a scream from my son's room. I immediately rushed in to see him sitting on his bed terrified! What he told me didn't scare me, it more than angered me.

He hysterically told me a "blue monster" was staring at him. I calmed him down passed him off to Mom, as I had to get to work.

Later that night when I though it was safe to talk about it again, I took the chance and asked him what scared him that morning. He took it in stride, which was not bad for a five year old kid. What he again described and then drew for me at the kitchen table was right out of a bad nightmare. It had large slanted eyes, no mouth and was blue!

He then went on to tell me it was motionless as it slid out through our wall into the yard. He also added he didn't see it out in the yard, just go through the wall. I believed this kid, not just because he's my son, I could just see it in his eyes this thing real or imagined happened to him.

All this would have been forgotten, until we were stationed here again in 2000.

Now I was in the last portion of a 27 year Marine Corps career. He was 16 at the time and confided in me one spring evening as we were talking, that before I had gone to work that very morning, he had awoken to see a star like cluster hanging from his ceiling in his room, it was reddish orange and appeared to look like it was surrounded by cotton and change shape constantly.

He said it almost looked as if it were studying him, he wasn't scared and was about to say something as he had heard me walking down the hallway to work. He told me that when he looked up to the ceiling to see how this thing was suspended in his room, it looked like the ceiling was made of water.

Evidently when I came down the hallway and the spying eye started to retract upward into the kids bedroom ceiling and then disappear. The water effect stopped once I slammed the door to leave for work.

Now I don't know what it is, and I cant imagine why it takes off when I am in the area.

If anyone has a clue and or had a like experience please drop a line. We have a lot of ideas here in the household, they range from nosey aliens, to evil beings, to ghosts and of course the chance these events just happened while coming out of a good nights sleep.

Event Description:
Ever since I was in my early 20's I've had a strange experience with mysterious scab
like dots in the form of a perfect triangle appear sometimes on the upper part
of my foot or on my leg or on my upper hand near my thumb. Always on my right.

I know they weren't insect bites. Insect bites are raised. These little dots were
not. After they appear I always feel odd. Like I felt I had been somewhere during
the night. And it seems to happen after I had seen activity in the night sky! Has
anyone else had this experience? Surely would like to know.

Here is more to my "triangle of dots" story.

November 2002: Found another triangle closer to my knee. Made me think of the dream I had during the night. I remembered being in a room an unfurnished room, gave me the impression of a hospital like atmosphere so clean and sterilized. I remember feeling the urge to urinate a women in white clothing appeared she gave me the impression that she may have been some type of nurse or physician. She mentally told me to use the bed pan like facility that was on the floor.

I didn't remember anything else when I had awaken that morning other than the feeling I had been somewhere again. As I went about my morning hygiene in the bathroom I noticed the flat scab like dots in the form of a triangle again this time closer to my right knee.

December2002: About a week before Christmas, I found another "triangle of dots" again! This time closer to my wrist on my right hand. I noticed as I am aging, they're showing up more frequently and I can't at this time understand, but I have an idea what it may be connected to.

I don't dare say right now for fear people would honestly be skeptical and think I was not playing with a full deck! If anyone has experienced anything like it or similar I would really appreciate knowing. Thank You.

Event Description:
When I was a child, I lived with my grandparents and my uncle who is 5 years older than me. One October a few days before Halloween, my grandpa and my uncle were downstairs in the basement working on my grandpa's trains. I usually wasn't allowed in where the trains were if my grandpa wasn't in there, so I wanted to go see what they were doing.

When you walk down the steps to the basement, there is a room that we had a ping pong table in and some other recreational things. A door led down a hall to the train room. Well, the door that led to the train room was closed and the handle to this day has a habit of coming off in your hands.

I walked over to the door and grabbed the handle and it came off the door in my hands. All of a sudden I heard the most horrible sounding laughter I had ever heard or ever have.

I looked over at the wall to my right and there on the wall was the image of a man's face (the shape of the face was dark and shadowy but the eyes and mouth were glowing white). I immediately started screaming and crying. My grandpa and uncle came bursting through the door to see what was wrong, but all I could do for about 5 minutes was scream and cry. I recounted what I had seen and heard and was told that it was my imagination.

I am 25 years old now and to this day, I still remember every detail of the experience and still get goose bumps when I think about it. Other things have happened in the house to my aunts when they were younger, but they are all ''pish-poshed' by my grandma and grandpa as are mine.

Event Description:
On July 10, 1970, I was at a neighbors having a pool party. My entire family was there as well as five of my friends. The parents were in the house drinking and listening to music. The five us were swimming in the pool. We got tired of swimming and decided to sit on the edge of the pool dangling are feet and talking. In the back of the yard between my house and my neighbors was a telephone pole. One like we all have in our back yards. We were all facing that way and we all saw the same thing when it happened.

Out of the pole can a figure shape object that looked just like a man only it was a large form of energy. It ran just like a man with its legs running quickly and with a stride like ours. It ran from the pole and directly into the side of the house. At the very moment the figure ran into the house all the fuses blew. Now it was very dark and very quiet and it made what we saw more noticeable to all of us.

We ran into the house and told our parents, but all they did was laugh and dismissed our words. They told us that the fuse blew because they had too many appliances going at once, the radio, blender and a few other electrical things as well. I know what I saw that night and so do all the other people I was with as well. I would love to see it again. It was like another dimension or something. Event Description:
I cannot remember the date to be exact but it was about August or September in the evening around 7:30 PM to 8:00 PM. I was on my computer playing a game. My computer then, before I moved, faced the wall. To the left of my chair was a 'two seater' couch and next to that was a 'three seater' couch. To my right was the dinning table, but not much room to move.

My friend was sitting on the 'two seater', watching TV. I was looking at my monitor, when just to the left of my friends head I noticed a very bright ball of light. It was a complete round object with what looked like a figure inside of it. It was only there for about 3-4 seconds. It happened about 1 1/2 years ago, but it is something that has stayed with me for a long time and I am not going to forget about it in a hurry. My friend isn't a person who believes in the paranormal and things like that, but I definitely am!

I don't know what it is but have found out some very useful info from different people that I know (like it could of been an ORB or a GUARDIAN ANGEL) but if someone could give me more information I would be grateful. Likewise, if you need to know more please contact me.

I cannot write English correctly. Sorry for this. Now I am going to tell you a true dramatic event. I am sleeping in my bed, suddenly my hands started upward and downward movement simultaneously, but not rapidly. This happens for one (1) minute duration or more than this. I want to scream but I can't! Suddenly, I saw a green and black color thing moving away from my room window. Then after it, nothing is happened.

Event Description:
Late on a week night approximately 11:00 PM, sitting watching TV alone in my living room kind of reading too, I then noticed that Conan O' Brian was on. This struck me as a little odd, but I figured that time passed quicker than I had thought ... then only listening to the set, the sound changed, sounding muffled, so I stood up to try and fix it. When I took a step forward, everything and I mean everything, walls, floor, my hand warped like fluid for a short second I'm sure, but kind of like a car accident, just as you hit, everything goes into slow motion then snaps back real fast.

Well, I fell against the door frame I was standing in, frantically checking my body and looking around at the apartment, wondering "what in the - - - -" just happened. I was completely terrified. I turned to go to the front door to look outside. On the way looking for my keys, I passed a small wall mirror in the hall reflecting into the kitchen, opposite the kitchen door. I reached into the kitchen, grabbing my keys off the counter. When I turned to leave, I was facing the mirror looking back into the kitchen, seeing in the reflection that the top half of my kitchen was not there.

Not believing what I saw, I stopped, blinked, looked again then turned and looked up. My kitchen had apparently been partly dissolved from about 4 1/2 feet off the floor! Slanting up to leave the doorway, I was standing in, where there was no kitchen, appeared to be a very dark night sky, similar to a planetarium. This is when I became frantic and started shaking. Speechless, I bolted out the front door and the hallway was still there and looked normal.

I fled out of the building top speed, got in my car and left the parking lot driving up the street to my Mother's house. While driving, I noticed that there were no other cars, nor had there been since I left the parking lot. The only sound I heard was my car, but there was just the motor sounds, no echo off passing buildings or trees whooshing by. I continued driving observing a tractor trailer truck, by itself, sitting with lights on in the middle of a cross road. I passed, not moving, no smoke or noise apparent. Then something very slight happened. Everything started to take on more texture, for lack of a better explanation. The wind blowing in my car became warmer and more humid. I noticed I could smell summer smells, like stepping out of an air conditioned building into summer night air.

Then I started to feel a little more safe, turning into my Mom's drive. I woke her and thought twice about explaining what had happened, as it was very apparent to me that all that had happened could not really have happened, but I knew that it had. It was as vivid as it gets and framed by pure terror.

So we went to the Emergency Room. I told her that I didn't feel well and she agreed and said I was white as a sheet and all clammy. The "ER" ran a full toxin screen to see if I had ingested anything including drugs, which came back negative.

The lingering result of that night haunted me every day and night for two months. I had an overwhelming feeling like I should know something, like there was something missing. This drove me to reading, trying to solve old physics problems, research into particle physics, space/time theories and such obsessive behavior. One night, October 29, 1999, I was hit broadside on my moped by a person running a red light and speeding. I was knocked out and thrown 40 feet, fractured two vertebra in my neck. The intense feeling was gone that night I was hit by the car, maybe due to the impact of it or me skidding along the ground cleared my head? But even now, I have attained an ability to concentrate and remember large volumes of information and a kind of mental alertness I never had before.... If you have any theories of what may have happened that night I would very much like to hear them.

Event Description:
I am a 41-year-old mother who works at home as a medical transcriptionist.
Our house is about 8 years old, and we were the first and are the only family who has lived here. We live in St. Joseph, a small town (about 1500 people) about 20 minutes east of the University of Illinois (Champaign-Urbana).

We are Christian and attend a Lutheran church in Royal, Illinois. My mother, Marlene, passed away about 6 years ago after struggling with cancer for many years. My father is alive and happily remarried to a wonderful woman who we all love.

Several months ago (can't be exact as to the date on this event) my 4-year-old son and my 6-year-old daughter were playing in my son's bedroom. I think they were playing leggos or blocks. Anyway, they both came running excitedly into the living room to tell me that I had to come and see the light! So, I obliged.

They were giggling and happy, and obviously not afraid of this "light." It was sort of rectangular in shape, about 4 inches long, 1 inch wide, and glowing, a greenish-yellow iridescent color. There was sunlight in the room, it was bright in there, and this still showed up. I presumed it was a sunshine coming through the blinds in a peculiar fashion, so I pulled the blinds up, and it stayed in the same spot. At this point, it was on the wall, about 6 feet up. I walked closer to get a better look, and it suddenly darted a few feet away up into the corner. I put my hand out to try to touch it, and it literally FLEW across the room over to the wall on the other side of the room. When I approached it again, it darted "out" the wall.

I was not "scared" of this, did not feel it was evil or anything. Just amazed. So, we kind of labeled it an ANGEL to keep the kids from getting freaked out at night thinking about it, but I kept on thinking and wondering about it. I guess I kind of think it might have been an angel, as I really know no other terminology to try to describe or label it. The woman who referred me to this site said it sounded like ENERGY (a soul).

Then a few nights ago, I was sleeping in my daughter's bed with her. Her bed belonged to my mother. It is a beautiful carved four poster bed, and it belonged to my mother from the time she was 13 years old. It was my mother and father's bed when they married, and my mother died in that bed at her home. When my Dad remarried, he wanted us to have it, and I cherish it.

Just trying to give you any details I think may give clues as to what is going on. I woke up in the middle of the night, it was dark, but you could see because of the street lights outside the window. Everybody else was asleep, and it was quiet. I was laying there thinking, and I noticed that light down on the floor beside the bed on the carpet. Right by me. I again thought, weird, there must be light shining through the window beaming down right there. I reached out my hand, and no light was shining DOWN onto this spot. It was just glowing UP from the carpet, and my hand covered it. It glowed under my hand.
I was not afraid in the least, and I just went back to sleep, kind of planning to investigate again the next night to see if it was there again. My idea was that maybe it was some weird glow in the dark nail polish the kids spilled or glow in the dark playdough I didn't know we had that maybe got ground in there. So, I checked the next night, and there was nothing.

Well, there you have it. Anybody else have a similar experience? I would appreciate any insight into this. I am not frightened by it, as I said, but VERY curious, and especially curious as to whether anybody else has experienced anything like this.

Woman Awakens from 16 Year "Sleep"
Doctors were at a loss for words as to why a woman in a catatonic state, for the past 16 years, suddenly awoke! Patricia White Bull has been unresponsive to the world for the past 16 years. She has been unable to speak, swallow and has not been able to move much in her bed at a nursing home. She entered this state as she was delivering her fourth child. Doctors say her condition was caused by a blood clot that lodged in her lung and caused her to stop breathing. She was finally resuscitated, but she suffered brain damage from a lack of oxygen.

It was Christmas Eve, as nurses were trying to fix her bed; she blurted out "Don't do that." Since her awakening she has been getting to know her four children. Her mother, has said it was a Christmas miracle from God.

Her four children have rushed to her side. She is able to speak to her family and has spent time catching up on family affairs. Her ability to swallow has improved so much that she has been able to eat chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy.

Three years after she slipped into a catatonic state, her husband was told that nothing could be done and nothing would change as to her condition. He moved to South Dakota and raised the four children. He obtained a divorce. But he said "If she wants to reestablish a relationship with me, I'm here."

What type of dreams or what Ms. White Bull's world was like for the past 16 years is still a mystery!
