Additional Information: Object was seen in the North West sky 12 degrees up from horizon, Object emitted other objects, Object emitted beams of light, Object changed colors, Object became transparent. Event Description: Looking up at a clear night sky at 10.44 pm towards Winchelsea/Colac - I saw a star like object in the sky. Looking for constellations and comets thru the telescope, however this object go brighter than moved right, left and moved left (south) for about 10 seconds - then immediately accelerated. It did get brighter then disappeared. 1-2 mins later a red cloud haze appeared for 3 seconds a little above the area I was looking at in the sky. At 11.53 - the object re-appeared - with bright light and again darted to the south and then disappeared. Sky was clear and many constellations were easily visible. Haven't yet identified the nearby constellation I was looking at but will endeavor to look in same location over next few nights

Ashwood, Australia - Date: December 12,
2006 - Time: 10 PM - Witnesses: 1 -
Number Of Objects: Various - Object's
Shape: "V" - Objects had Lights -
Additional Information: In my backyard;
clear and cloudless night
Event Description:
I saw something absolutely stunning
and extraordinary last night
(12/12/06). It was approximately
10:00 P.M. precisely (by the time I
looked at the clock it was 3 minutes
past but at least a minute had elapsed
by then) and I was conducting my
regular sky watch for satellites from
my home in Ashwood.
I had my 8-20x50 binoculars.The night
last night was cloudless and very
clear with no discernible haze (it had
been moderately windy during the day).
I was nearly ready to walk inside when I noticed what I took to be a faint "cloud" passing near the star Canopus. It seemed to be a small cloud but was moving pretty quickly from South (SSE) to North.
I didn't have my glasses on and my
naked eye vision isn't 20/20 without
them, but I can see stars easily
enough and satellites -- the 'cloud'
was an indistinct, very pale glow. It
seemed a little odd as it wasn't windy
enough to push a cloud (the only cloud
in the sky) like that, so I looked
through my binoculars -- what I saw
was astonishing!
I saw a "V" shape row of lights or two
rows of lights. I watched this
formation proceeding until it passed
by the tree in my front yard (I was on
the back porch) -- it traversed
approximately 40-45 degrees of the
night sky under my observation.
The lights in the rows were quite
'soft' (which would have explained why
I initially thought I'd seen a cloud
and they [the lights] seemed to be a
little elongated like small, narrow,
vertical strokes. They were not bright
but easily discernible and clear in
the binoculars.
There appeared to be more lights on
the length of the "V" that seemed
closer to me (8 to 10)? and less on
the other side (5 or 6)? (there could
have been more).
The "V" was moving point first and
what I took to be the closer limb was
the "lower" one, if you can imagine a
3D perspective. It did not seem to be
multiple objects, but it might have
been.
The spacing between the lights did not
vary. I did not notice whether I could
see stars in the space between the
limbs of the "V" as it passed too
quickly.
The impression I received was an object not unlike the infamous Hudson River Valley object that appeared frequently in the US in the 1980's and 1990's.
The apparent size of the object was
hard to gauge, as it was impossible to
judge its altitude, though it did not
appear to at the altitude of a
satellite. It took up most of the
field in my binoculars but, with the
naked eye, was probably a little less
than the spacing one observes between
the stars in Orion's belt.
Interestingly I heard a jet engine noise at the time I was watching and was wondering about that until I lowered the glasses. There was a commercial jet passing from West to almost due East (at a much lower altitude) at precisely the same time as I observed the mystery object (s)? It had standard navigation lights. The two objects were separated by at least 60 degrees heading in their separate directions. The mystery object (s)? cannot have been a satellite and could not have been a cloud.
It was not a collection of stars and
does not match the description of an
aircraft of any configuration that I
know or could guess at (I have been
watching aircraft for 40 years since
my ATC days).
I think I really saw something special
last night.

Event Description:
I was driving to work and coming towards a
small intersection, it was early so not
much traffic.
I saw something move above the local club.
I slowed down as I watched a small smokey
gray oval object, like a large football
travel horizontally approximately 20
meters above the houses exactly, traveling
and following the middle of the road from
my right and traveling to the left.
I stopped at the intersection and watched
it and for some reason or other decided
not to turn left and follow it, probably
because I couldn't see any other people.
I have never seen anything like it and was puzzled as there appeared to be no lights or windows and the fact that it was quite small. One thing I know it had a definite flight course. Reported By: Adam K. - Brisbane, Queensland, Australia - April 15, 2006

Brisbane.
Event Description:
I have never
talked about it much as I have never
believed in UFO's and such. I always put it
down to some new military type exercise or
something like that. In fact there was a
five or 6 of us that saw it. We made a pact
never to tell anyone as they would think we
are loopy or just plain "druggos"!
See we were all
around the age of 16 and some of us were
drinking at the time and some may have even
been smoking a little dope. We even wondered
to ourselves if we had all just drunk or
smoked to much, but then we thought "How
could we have all seen the same thing"? But
we new what people would say
It was approximately 1990 or 1992, or there
abouts. The group of us were just sitting
around the sports grounds of a campus on the
northside of Brisbane in Queensland. It was
late at night.
All of a sudden we all just "felt something"
and looked up. I remember my whole body
going numb with fear as I looked up and saw
this thing slowly passing over head. It was
huge. Like a 747! It didn't make a noise
and didn't have any lights. It was in the
shape of a handglider or stealth bomber! It
seemed as though it was only like one or two
hundred meters above us. It was moving, but
very very slowly.
I remember it was sort of heading towards
the city. I cant remember how long this went
on for, but I think it was a matter of
seconds. Then it just excelerated and
disappeared. We were all just dumbfounded.
Freaked out I suppose. We got out of there
pretty quick after that.
I remember especially getting the paper the
next day to see if other people reported it.
THEY DIDN'T! We all spoke about it in the
following days and we were all convinced we
had seen the same thing.
I pretty much lost contact with those guys
the over the following years, but I did
still think about what we had seen
occasionally. I ended up convincing myself
that it was some sort of amazing new
military aircraft being tested and the
pilots were just playing and trying to freak
this group of teenage boys out. They sure
did succeed!
Anyway I suppose I'm just wondering if
anyone else might have reported a similar
incident around that time period in
Brisbane and if it is more than likely to
have been the military aircraft I have
always hoped it was.

Universe:
Thanks
for your report and thanks for visiting
our Mystical Universe Website.
Your report is a good one and typical of many other reports regards shape, size and behaviour of the UFO. Unfortunately I have no record of other sightings from the same location for the period you stated. For three years from 1990 to 1993 there were repeated sightings of very large triangular craft over western Europe, especially Belgium. The reports were verified by radar and by pilots sent up to investigate the intruders. In the late 90s there were similar sightings over Dallas Texas and Phoenix Arizona. More recently there are occasional sightings of large triangular shape craft from other parts of the world, including Australia, but yours is one of the earliest from here, and one of the clearest. I must presume that human stealth technology couldn't have been that advanced that long ago otherwise we would be seeing it in use on the battlefields of the world like the F117 was (stealth bomber) and that there would have been no requirement for anyone advanced enough to develop it to use it over Brisbane back in 92. Therefore it has to be genuine ET style UFO. Reported By: Irene S. - New South Wales, Australia - January 25, 2006

Event Description: I was sitting outside on the back porch around 10:30 PM, approximately. When I looked up, suddenly this pitch black circular object with a corona or a yellow halo surround the rim of the object flew just above tree level from right to left. It was faster than any aeroplane. I live not far from an air field and see planes at all hours, day and night quite regularly and know this was no plane. It made no sound, and just seemed to glide at a steady pace and the sighting took perhaps about 15 seconds. I will never forget it. Irene. Event Description:
My name is Michael K. and
I'm originally from Melbourne, Victoria, but I
went on a school trip to Hobart, Tasmania for a
week and what me and my friends saw that night
wasn't like anything we've ever seen before!
It was around 9:50-ish at night and the sky was pretty clear except for some small rain clouds... myself, together with 5 more friends went outside our cabin to go to the main room where the rest of our class were. We were the last ones and running late, but just about 20 meters away from the main room - my friend Bruce noticed a weird "thing" in the sky.
There weren't much trees around so we could see
the sky clearly, and we noticed that the thing was
heavily lit with bright white/orange-ish lights
and then changing its colors from white/orange to
blue/reddish kind of.
The weird "thing" or UFO that we saw didn't make
any noises at all so it definitely couldn't have
been a Helicopter or a plane, and it wasn't as
high as normally the helicopters fly ... it was
even lower than that.
The UFO was also kind of hovering like a
helicopter (even though it was NOTHING like one)
it also moved pretty slow and from OUR point of
view -- it was sort of above a mountain just near
our camp site out of Hobart.
But then about 40 seconds afterwards, the UFO disappeared and we went into the main room but decided to keep it a secret and never told anyone about it. Reported By: Marco N. - January 7, 2006 - New South Wales, Australia

Event Descriptions:
Location:
Cootamundra, NSW, Australia
December 17, 2005 10:43 PM Witnesses (9) including myself and my wife. Most recent sighting: Myself, my wife and several friends (9 in total) were outside and witnessed the objects... we had driven down from Sydney to have dinner at a friend's house in Cootamundra. Present were also a police officer and a light aircraft pilot. The sky was clear and there were no nearby streetlights to obscure our sight. I had brought with me a Celestron spotting scope which had a 1200 mm focal length and was looking at the stars to see if there was a chance to glimpse Saturn which I thought would be of interest to the others.
Looking at the sky, I was observing a bright star
whilst standing in the backyard. But, as I gazed at
the star, four smaller objects passed close by it
from the South heading north. They were evenly
spaced (about 2/3 the diameter of the moon in terms
of distance between each object). The four objects
travelled in a perfectly straight line, one behind
the other.
I ran to my wife and told her there were "UFO's in
the sky, same as the last time, come quick!" and
she joined me in the open yard. Others heard my words and within a few seconds, everyone was with me asking what and where the UFOs were. I carry two 532nm (green) lasers with me and used a 10mW laser to point out the four slowly moving objects to our friends. All were immediately captivated by the four evenly spaced objects slowly passing almost overhead. Having seen satellites in the sky before, I am convinced that these objects were travelling at a height above the 60 mile height since they were reflecting sunlight and the time was 10:43 PM in the evening. They were the same magnitude of brightness as a dim star and did not flash or emit any further light. I then took out a second but much stronger laser (110mW-150mW - will burn rubber and dark materials up close) which has a supposed range of between 55-60miles and directed the very bright beam directly at the lead object and tracked the object.
It was agreed by those in our group that these were
NOT aircraft and there was no concern regarding
issues of safety due to the immense distances
involved between our location and the objects.
After 2
seconds of directing the beam at the first object, the two objects to the rear immediately fell back and decreased speed. After perhaps 4 seconds, they immediate sped up and fell back into formation. The line of lights then began to change course and took up an Eastern direction in a very gradual arc. I then turned the laser on again and directed it at the second last object and it promptly vanished from the formation altogether. For a moment it appeared to become dimmer and then it vanished entirely. By now I was aware that I had not attempted to photograph the objects. I had my camera with me (a 'Canon Pro 1' 8MP Digital camera) which had run out of power earlier in the night but I had given my wife the backup battery to put in her purse...and my wife had a Canon EOS 30e 35 mm film camera with her.
My wife ran to get my spare battery whilst I led
everyone back to my car to get my tripod and to set
up the camera. With the right delay in the
exposure, I suspected that I might be able to
capture the trail of the four objects against the
stars.
By now, I'd handed the lower powered laser to others
to point out to me where the objects were as I set
up the camera in the middle of the street. They
turned on the laser to help me see where they were
in the sky.
The dogs next door were barking but it was likely at
us since the objects were too far away. By the
time my wife had returned to me with a fresh
battery, the objects were closer to the horizon and
had become too faint to be photographed.
We then set out chairs in the backyard to see if we
would sight more objects. I set up the camera and
adjusted the exposure and ISO, etc., for the best
results but saw nothing further.
My wife spotted what looked like a satellite heading
across the sky in the same path (but opposite
direction)
to the four objects we had seen. Other than this, the sky quickly became cloudy and the moon rose which made it hard to see anything as clearly. October 1984: In relation to my comment to my wife when I first observed the objects, I have seen something similar from a backyard in North Parramatta/Northmead in late (October?)1984. This object was travelling from South To north and was almost overhead.
I was with three of my friends (Whom still talk
about this) and two or possibly three girls (one of
whom lived at the address). The object looked
exactly like the four we saw in Cootamundra and I
was originally convinced that this was a satellite.
But as it slowly crept across the sky, it suddenly
turned at a perfect right angle to it's original
trajectory and we all gasped when it did this without slowing down. Almost 2 seconds after it had turned, the object fragmented into three distinctly separate objects which moved away from each other at the same speed and in opposite directions from one another.
These three objects then froze where they were, and
appeared to park themselves and became completely
motionless in the sky surrounded by similarly bright
stars. Eventually we took our eyes away a few too
many times and were soon unable to determine which
"stars" were the objects.
One last sighting from
the 80s.
At 11:00 AM sharp on a Sunday around October 1987, I
was in my parent's car and was driving my fiance at
the time to the city to have lunch.
I had just exited Lake Street at North Parramatta
and had pulled up at the lights on the James Ruse
Drive / Pennant Hills Road overpass and was waiting
for the lights to change when we saw people looking
back at us anxiously from the car in front of us and
pointing ahead.
Other people were getting out of their cars and
pointing up in the sky. As we leant forward, we saw
a large object that was actually eclipsed by our sun
visors.
We were on a rise and it was a cloudless powder-blue
sky but ahead of us, about 100 feet off the tops of
the trees and heading from the East to the North
West was a VERY large rusty looking cube floating
against the wind and completely silent.
There were quite a few people out of their cars at
this point and we got out too. I recall that the
object looked like it had been welded together from
sheets of rusting steel and painted with and dark
crimson but rusted over badly. I wondered for a
moment if it was a hot air balloon made to look
unusual but the object was travelling against the
breeze and it just seemed to look like it weighted a
hundred tons. Thought not easy to determine the
size, I'd say it was about the size of a two or
three story house.
It was absolutely silent. We all shook our heads
when the object flew slowly out of sight over the
trees of the Lake Parramatta Reserve and out of our
line of sight. Everyone kept saying "Did you see
that? Oh my
gosh!"
I wish I had a camera then... and
I simply can't forget the detail on the object. It
looked like a very rusty Rubric's Cube with plenty
of vertical streaking and no windows of protruding
details.
If anyone want's further verification, please contact me and I will direct you to other wiseness from each of the three incidents as I am still in touch with all of them. Reported By: Mark M. - Adelaide, South Australia - January 7, 2006

Description:
I was flying a 4
seat aircraft the night of June 6, 1998, after
completing a 1 hour night scenic flight with a guest
visiting Adelaide from Germany.
I prepared to head
back to a smaller airport just north of the Adelaide
Airport. Flying at 2000 ft above sea level, heading
north along the coastline at around 9 PM. Both I and
my passenger noticed a fast orange flash of light in
the horizon, travel from left to right some distance
in front of our aircraft. The light joined 5 others
and travelled south at the same altitude as me and at
12 o'clock (directly ahead) .
I was in controlled airspace and called approach and notified them on what I was seeing and asked for vectors to fly around the 6 orange objects that were approaching me. ATC called me back and said they have no evidence on there radar screens?
Both of us were
amazed as we could see these lights approaching us and
we were becoming concerned. I once again called
Adelaide approach and asked for a change in level or
direction. They once again said all was clear.
Many people on the ground that night monitored the VHF band and could hear me talking with Adelaide approach. These people looked out side and could clearly see 6 objects approaching my aircraft in the clear night sky. They all made reports. As I approached these objects, trusting ATC I maintained direction and altitude. The 6 orange objects were in formation, horizontal and evenly spaced. However, as I neared them they formed a circle which allowed me to fly thru the middle without any problems. We stared at these large orange objects as we flew through them. They seemed unusual, almost angelic. We returned back to Parafield Airport, without further incident. I called Adelaide approach on my mobile phone and demanded an explanation. They asked me to call Collin Norris and explain what happened. Collin Norris is Adelaide's UFO man. I called Collin, he said his phone ran red hot that night and we made a report with him. I ended up appearing on National television and appeared in many newspapers and magazines around the country. I received a call about a week after the event, it was the controller I spoke with that night. He knew me from school after seeing my picture in the newspaper. He called to say after recognizing me he ran radar tapes again. Greg said after making some adjustments to contrast he could see the objects and said they appeared to look like weather returns. The night was clear no weather. He has retired to a fast food ownership and I still fly...Only during daylight Mark M. Reported By: Jonathan S. - Brisbane, Queensland, Australia - January 3, 2006

Event
Description:
My name is
Jonathan S. and I have a UFO sighting that will smash
any sighting anybody has ever seen anywhere in the
world.
I am a
Sales Rep, working around Brisbane Queensland
Australia.
About
three years ago I was sitting at my desk (work) on the
phone to a customer when my boss (He is about 60 years
of age, played rep sport (2 codes) for QLD and is a
very well known and respected citizen) ran past my
desk. I was on the phone and he was telling me to hang
up and come out side. He repeated himself three times
before I decided to hang up the phone and head outside
to join him.
As I
opened the door, he was standing there looking out to
the West. He was joined by a courier driver that
delivers goods in our area (Salisbury, a very
populated industrial area on the southside of Brisbane
City.) She is an elder lady about the same age as my
boss, I'm just guessing.
I looked
in the same direction as they were and there was two
UFO's hovering above about 8 small aircraft. We have
our office situated up on Tooheys Mountain. I'd call
it a hill, but it is a mountain app, and we looked out
to the West, towards Ipswich.
In this
direction, about 2 or 3 kilometers, is Archerfield
Airdrome. We see small aircraft everyday flying around
the area, but generally 1 or maybe 3 at a time spread
out around a very large area. On this day, this
instant, there where 8 or so small air craft flying
around that were all very very close to each other.
Any way
these two UFOs were just hovering above these aircraft
for about 2 minutes. They would move up and down every
2-3 seconds, but what was most amazing was every time
they moved the nose of the craft would bend. It was
very much like liquid metal in a solid form bending
(terminator 2-movie).
This was
all happening in the middle of the day, in the middle
of Brisbane and why nobody else had seen this remains
an absolute misery to myself and the other two
witnesses.
It was the
clearest day I can remember, not a cloud in the
sky and not a breath of wind anywhere, which sort
of explains why there were so many small aircraft in
the sky that day.
We watched
the UFOs for about 2 minutes when they both dropped
out of the sky and below the buildings in front of us
blocking our view. We turned to each other for a
moment to ask each other what we were seeing, then
looked back at the sky to see if we could see them
again.
Watching
the sky for a few more seconds, the two craft appeared
again much smaller (about 1/8 the size) they had
dropped close to the ground and shot out very quickly
to the West.
They then
shot up into the sky to leave the atmosphere. As they
got higher into the sky, the two got father apart from
each other forming a V from the ground up. As they got
closer to the Earth's outer atmosphere, the day sky
lit up with sparkling stars that were perfectly placed
in the sky. By that I mean, each sparkling star was
the exact distance from the next and the sky was full
(north,south,east,west ... absolutely covered) with
sparkling stars.
If you
tried to look at one star, it would vanish but your
peripheral vision would see stars sparkling all over
the place.
The lady
courier driver at this point, had to look away she
said she was getting dizzy. That's when myself and my
boss looked at each other. I said to them both, "I'm
dizzy also!" My boss shook his head and said "So am
I." We then looked to the sky again and they were not
there anymore.
After this
sighting, I made contact with Archerfield Airdrome and
got put through to the control tower. I asked the man
in the tower why there were so many planes in the sky
before and he said there wasn't as many as I thought
there was.
I then
said to him, "Did you know there were two UFO's flying
above the small planes in the sky just above the
tower?" He said that he would check his radar but also
told me that if they were there they would have been
picked up on the radar at Brisbane's International
Airport Control Tower and he gave me the number. He
told me that they also have control of reporting UFO
sightings.
When I
called the tower at Brisbane INT, the operator told me
that they don't have control of the reports anymore,
that it had been passed on to the Amberly Airbase
which ironically is in the very direction as
Archerfield Airdrome is from my office, only about 30
kilometers out further west.
I called
the head office at the base and asked the lady if I
could report a UFO sighting. She told me that they
don't do that. I insisted that she keep me on the
phone and find out for me. I was on hold for at least
10 minutes. When she returned, she said she had good
news for me, she was also very excited, she said
"Look, we don't normally do this, but we have a
General out in the field today and I have been
instructed to give you his mobile number." She gave me
his number and I called him straight away.
He
answered the phone and I told him who I was and what
we had just seen. He would pause all the time before
each question, as if he was writing it down. He then
said thank you and hung up.
I have
since spoken to a family member who has been in the
armed forces for 35 years and he assures my there is
no General at Amberly Airbase. Maybe there was on this
day due to secret air craft testing being in the
middle of the day and a very very good clear day at
that.
Who ever
it was the technology was out of this world. I have
also discovered that when this event happened George
Bush, Sr., in Australia for a two week period and at
the time he was Chief of CIA or something like that,
so I've been told. Do not quote me on that.
What I do
know is that what I have seen and let me tell you if
we had captured this event on film the world would now
know the truth, it was that clear to see.
The UFO's
were disk shaped but very thin. They were probably
about the size of a bus maybe twice the size, hard to
tell but I do know they were about 4 times the size of
the small single engine planes flying around that day.
They were
hollow in the middle and when hovering they would
change the angle of the craft and move about 10 -20
meters every 2-3 seconds. At times they would be on
their side and the hollowed middle section at one
point we could see what looked to be two people just
sitting there floating in there seats as if the
hollowed section was an invisible cockpit.
Also every
move they made, the nose of the craft would bend in
the direction that it would then travel. When they
left the earths atmosphere there was no vapour trail
but we did notice that they were shooting up in spurts
not a constant speed.
If you

Regards
Jonathan.

Event Description: At 1:30 AM, on the morning of 26/10/1999, I was awakened by my 2 Rottweiller dogs, who were barking out of control and running from side to side in the back yard and jumping up on the gates trying to get out to the front of the house.
I lay in bed for a few
minutes and decided that I had better get up and tell them
to keep quiet as they would wake the neighbours.
This is when I realised
that there was a strange blue light outside my bedroom
window which was pulsating off and on, and thought it must
be the police and they have picked up a drunk driver or
something, but the dogs kept on barking.
It was at this point,
that I sat up in bed and opened the curtains. To my shock
and horror there was this huge object. It was cone shaped
and covered in hundreds of cylinder shaped lights which
pulsated on, which lit up the whole of my front yard like it
was the middle of the day, except it was a blue light. When
it turned off, it was total darkness.
The object was hovering
off the ground about 15 feet and probably measured 20 feet
wide by 30 feet high this is an estimation as there are 2
trees which were on either side of the object.
It made no noise and
stayed about 10 minutes, and then it just turned off just
like a light and disappeared. My dogs were still barking at
this point I went outside to tell them to shut up. I
realised then, that they had been so distressed, that they
had saliva running down all their chest and foam around
their mouths and in a very agitated state.
The next morning I went
to work early and asked a lot of people if anyone had seen
anything. I even asked all my neighbours who live near me,
but everyone told me the same thing, that they had been in
bed asleep.
For the last five years I
have wondered about what I could have seen as it has always
puzzled me, and that the fact that no one else saw it.
I told my friends. They
told me not to say too much about it, as people think that I
would be crazy.
Over the years, I have
other strange things happen to me, but this was probably the
weirdest.
Anyway, I was also
wondering if anyone saw any strange lights in the sky on
Monday the 18th of July around 7:30, I had gone outside to
get some wood and saw this bright light which looked like an
explosion, but nothing like a meteorite. It was in the
western sky.

Sound
Event Description:
On Saturday evening 19 February 2005, I put my son to bed and retired myself. I had only just fallen asleep when my son ran into my room and woke me saying, "Can you hear it?" It was very much like a deep rumbling noise and sound extremely close and above the house. It faded into the distance within seconds, but I was unable to locate any sightings in the sky.
I tried to reassure my son that whatever
it was, had gone, but he was very nervous, so I decided to
stay with him for a while. I was nearly asleep when he woke
me and said "Did you see the light?" He commented that it was
in the sky and moved fast past the window, with square light
penetrating through.
This is not the first experience I have had in my home. Last year I saw at high altitude a metallic object in the sky it was shaped like a tear drop, but no noise was heard. It was traveling very fast across the sky and disappeared within 5 seconds. I thought it was metallic, because it was shining silvery in the moonlight. My mother, has on many occasions seen lights high in the sky, traveling at great speed.
At times,
some also seem to hover above and close to our house late in
the evenings. They appear circular in shape, with the
objects reflecting light. These travel too fast to be a plane
and can be heard as they fly overhead, but these others
sightings generate no sound at all.

Object emitted beams of light - Object hovered
Event Description: UFO Report At approximately 11:00 PM, a "ball" of yellow light became visible overhead in the south western sky, below the low cloud cover over Baulkham Hills.
My husband watched the light from our backyard swimming pool.
He rushed upstairs to show me the light - after opening the
western facing window, I was able to view a bright star shaped
orange-yellow light, approximately 10 times the size of a
commercial plane as it moved overhead in a northerly direction.
There was no sound at all.
The light traveled at the speed of a commercial plane, and
followed a similar trajectory for a minute before it ceased
moving. It remained suspended over the north of the sky below
the low cloud cover, and wavered intermittently for a several
minutes. The wavering effect appeared to result from the light
being very close to the cloud cover, and occasionally cloud
passed over it.
The light appeared to move slightly from left to right, but with
an overall stationary effect - at times I wondered if it might
be a flare. The light did not extinguish however, and slowly
turned to the East. At this point I checked the distance
between the light and my TV antenna to gauge its direction and
movement. The light moved past my antenna, but started to
become obscured by clouds.
I continued to watch the light from my window until a low glow
from beneath cloud cover was obscured by my rooftop.
I called Sydney Airport to report the light. All aircraft had safely left the airport and there were no reports of aircraft on fire. My husband remains convinced that when the light passed overhead it looked like a noiseless craft on fire. I left my phone number and name. Sydney Airport gave me a UFO report number to call. I then called the UFO report line on a number given me by Sydney Airport. The number I called: 07 3376 1780. I reported the event verbally, just as it is reported in this email. I left my phone number and name. Next, I called Castle Hills Police station and made a report, however the police officer laughed at me in a good natured way. My demeanor on the phone was neutral and calm and I reported the matter in a precise matter of fact manner. The officer said he would see if any other reports cam in before filing a report. I left my phone number and name. Next I reported the event to Sydney Daily Telegraph. There had been no other reports at this stage. Next I called Bureau of Meteorology. There was none at the Bureau however I was transferred to an on-call staff member. I was told the light was probably a meteor, however I explained that the trajectory was not steep enough, and also that the light orbited the skyline below cloudline, then stopped. The gentleman was not interested and referred me to Sydney Observatory, where I recorded a message on an answering service that appears more oriented towards booking tours, than to reporting events. I am a cynical, skeptical person who is scientific in methodology. I work as a Telecommunications Wireless Technical Product Development Manager, and consider myself to be well informed, articulate and non-gullible. I am seeking a plausible explanation to this event, and I am sure a rational explanation exists.
I am hopeful of understanding this event, because it is unique
in my experience. After 25 years in the bush and 15 in Sydney,
this is my first sighting of this nature - even though I have
had ample opportunity to study the night sky, meteorites, and
other cosmic phenomenon.

Event Description:
My sister and I were going to catch our bus, at 7:30 AM.
We pulled off Malabar Rd., in Sawyers Valley, right onto the Great
Eastern Highway, towards Perth.
Just before the Sawyers Shops, on the left hand side of the
highway, was a metallic looking saucer, perfectly still, with a
green glow underneath. It was hovering in midair above a paddock.
My bus that we were to get on, was in Sawyers. I sat in this bus
for a good 10 minutes before we took off, watching this UFO. The
entire time, it was just sitting there, in midair, maybe 20 meters
above the Earth.
Many people would have sighted this, being that is was off a busy
highway.

Event Description: I saw what I thought was an aeroplane (in the shape of a space shuttle) just flying through the air and noticed very bright lights (shining through what appeared to be its windows), flames and sparkles coming from the back of the object. Because of this vision, I thought it was in danger and believed this object was going to crash. I switched my tractor off (as I was in the middle of a paddock) to hear any sounds but there was complete silence from this object.. no rumbling sounds of an engine to be heard... it then made an 'L' shaped turn, then quick as a flash, it just vanished and all I could see was 2 little dots.
It was then I realised
it definitely was NOT an aeroplane and definitely NOT a comet. I
know that whatever it was, this object was something that had been
built. The bit that gets to me is that surely I would have heard
sounds from its engine (I hear aeroplanes every day from higher
altitude) but this object MADE NO SOUND!

At around midnight on the night of September 6/7 1983 myself and
my best friend at the time sighted a large UFO passing over
Fairfield, NSW (a suburb about 20 km west of Sydney).
It was basically cylindrical in shape with a pointed end at the
front and was periodically emitting a "lightning typ |
