Dear John,
I would like to take this opportunity to inform you that unfortunatly I will have to resign as State Section Director for the Ventura-Santa Barbara Counties chapter of our organization. As you know I have health problems and in addition, the time I have to spend in this capacity has become more and more limited. I feel that I can better benefit the subject as a whole, if I spend more time on the research. We have just completed the tenth surgery for removal of these strange implants. I do not have any scientific data yet and I am sure by now you all know I will not toot my horn before I have something concrete to report. When this time comes, I will write an article for the journal.

I would have not been able to leave this post with a clear conscience unless I found a qualified replacement. This I have done and am satisfied she will do a fine job, so it is my hope you will approve her for this position. Her name is Dianne Johnson. She is a member of the international and local chapters and has been an active member for some years now. She is a school teacher and teaches in the school system in the San Fernando Valley. I have had several meetings with her and believe she understands what her post would entail. I hope she meets with your approval and I know everyone will enjoy working with her.

Dianne has agreed to start a new officer position on the board which will be that of a Media Liason Officer. I have volunteered to serve in this capacity as I am continually doing radio, television and live appearances. Next month I will be in New York with Dan Ackroid to do a one half hour special on the implant work. Also next month I will be presenting my findings at the conference in Turkey. As you probably already know they are opening a new UFO museum in Istanbul and have invited me there to speak at the opening.

I wish you and yours a happy holiday season. I have enjoyed the opportunity to work with you all and hope that in the future you will still think of me as a 100% loyal MUFON member. Take care.
