'In The Shadow of the Boulder'

In San Bernadeno County, California is a piece of Earth that transcends time. The area was once an Indian Holy Ground has evolved into one of the most unusual and controversial "terra firma" in the United States.

Located in an arid spot, where the temperatures vary from 25º to 115º sits a boulder. Not a run of the mill boulder mind you. This boulder covers an area of 5,800 square feet and it stands 7 stories high. It is known as 'Giant Rock' and has perplexed dozens of people over a long period of time.

In 1930, a gentleman by the name of 'George Van Tassel' ventured from Ohio and ended up in California. Through an unusual set of circumstances, Mr. 'Van Tassel' made an acquaintance with a man named 'Frank Critzer' who was basically a loner and a prospector. As a result of declining health, 'Critzer' was forced to move to an area that was dry in order to accommodate lungs that needed that arid air to survive. 'Frank Critzer' ended up at Giant Rock.

After arriving there, he contacted 'George Van Tassel' and their friendship grew. This was the era of the 'Great Depression.' Money, employment and life in general was very difficult. 'Frank Critzer' decided to make Giant Rock his home. He dug underneath and created a living space that, due to his creative and intelligent mind, provided him with the coolness needed in summer, and warmth needed in the winter. Unfortunately, 'Frank Critzer' only had squatting rights to this precious piece of land. Attitudes that existed back then involving World War II, tied Frank (who was of German ancestry, and a loner), into suspicions of him possibly being a German spy. Unfortunately, Frank met his demise beneath of Giant Rock and the details surrounding this event is still shrouded in mystery.

George had visited Frank many times over the years and after learning of Frank's untimely death, he set about acquiring this piece of land in 1945. Due to the war ending, general confusion and backlogs of paperwork, the final papers for Giant Rock were not completed until 1947. It was then George gave up his employment as an aircraft engineer and moved with his family to the desert, to Giant Rock.

George, who's background involved engineering, researched and felt that due to the size of Giant Rock, a magnetic vortex of several miles radius existed. When all was said and done, George spent 18 years building a nonmetallic structure that was 38 feet high and 50 feet in diameter. He named this structure "The Integratron." He chose the site of "The Integration" very carefully. By using his complex theories regarding the Earth's magnetic field, the Great Pyramid and Giant Rock, this structure was claimed by George to be a 'fountain of youth' and a meeting place for UFO's.

From the 1950's to the 1970's, George held annual UFO Conventions, attended by many respected experts in the fields of antigravity, energy research and electromagnetics. In addition, those who claimed to have been in contact with UFO's also attended these conventions. George also held weekly meditations under the Giant Rock and it was his contention that these meditations led to actual UFO contacts and channeling.

George espoused that the purpose of 'The Integratron' was to recharge energy into living cells which in turn would bring a longer life span here on Earth, combined with youthful energy.

Although 'George Van Tassel' is no longer alive, 'The Integratron' lives on. The second LINK we have provided will give details on how to contact those who work there, as well as events that are ongoing. Rejuvenation was his goal and perhaps, based on comments from those who have experienced "The Integratron", it is possible he succeeded. Mystical Univese is not making any claims in this regard. We trust you to use sound judgment and decide for yourself.

I would like to thank a friend of mine who pointed me in the direction of 'The Integratron.' Perhaps one day, we will realize that the foresight of 'George Van Tassel' is overwhelming.
