Headline News "Is it all in the ......Genes?"
A gentleman named 'Alan Templeton' has announced his theory, based on genetics and the mysterious DNA Code. 'Templeton' is a well known and respected biologist at Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri. His findings have
been recently published, and as you would expect, some call his findings amazing, while others question it's validity.
Physical evidence in the form of fossils is rare, although many have located ancient pieces of our past. The latest analysis is based on 'Templeton's' computer genealogy of 11 inherited human traits compiled and studied. The results? Basically, this new twist revolves around genes. He indicates that current humans carry genes that date back to Neanderthals and other extinct communities of our Human Family.
As a result, he concludes that there were several migrations of humans who interbred and left the continent of Africa
in two separate "waves of migration." The first migration happened between 420,000 and 820,000 years ago. The second wave occurred between 80,000 and 150,000 years ago.
According to 'Templeton' after his review of gene pools that covered 10 various populations, humans evolved out of
Africa and mixed with other populations and did not replace those existing populations. Other scientists adhere to the theory that humans evolved simultaneously in several parts of the globe.
I must admit this subject is way over my head! Still the possibilities are staggering. Hopefully, someday in the near future we will have the answers. In the meantime, take a peek at the LINKS provided and decide for yourself. Nancy, Director of Operations, Editor |
