UFO Phenomenon Ridicule
A deliberate strategy by the UFOs themselves?

UFOs have been sighted since the beginning of human history. Any study of the historical documents will verify this. The ancient Egyptians, Biblical characters, Alexander the Great, ordinary people and governments through the middle ages and even the Vatican regarded the UFOs with awe, wonder and reverence.

The so called dawning of the modern UFO era by 'Kenneth Arnolds' sighting in 1947 near the Cascade Mountains, brought world wide press interest to bear on the phenomenon, but there was not one word of ridicule.

The publicity of the Roswell crash and many other sightings by credible witnesses in the 1947-52 period focussed world attention on UFOs and brought expectation of official explanations. Again there was no public ridicule of the phenomenon.

The Contactees:
At the crucial point where the public's interest in the phenomenon, if taken seriously, could have brought about official admission and warranted major official (and public) studies, something happened to negate the public perception of their reality.

They became a subject of ridicule and those who saw them or had contact with them were at best deluded and sometimes were classed as outright nut cases.

What happened was the contactees.
'George Adamski,' one of the earliest to claim contact with UFO occupants, and certainly the most prominent in the public press, was typical of the majority of contactees, and could be considered the perfect selection if your agenda was to precipitate the ridicule of the entire phenomenon.

He was a shady character with known connections to the moonshine whiskey trade and had passed himself off several times as something he wasn't. He was the typical "snake oil salesman." Turned his hand to gypping the public and starting a cult following of gullible people who just wanted to believe anything.

He started to have UFO experiences around 1948 and by 1952 he had established himself as a UFO Expert with photographs of several encounters. (see photo provided). Late in 1952, he claimed to have been contacted by tall golden haired Galactic Representatives from the UFOs and had been taken for trips on board their ships.

The story gets unbelievable:
From here 'Adamski' seems to lose the plot and his claims become wilder and wilder to the point where they are way beyond the known facts. The claims of Galactic civilization led to claims their home world was Venus, where they had wonderful cities on a Gaiea like world. He claimed to have been to the far side of the moon where there was an atmosphere and more futuristic cities. Many other aspects of his story became so imaginative as to be just not credible.

At this time several experts denounced his UFO photos as being fake. This was the final straw and he virtually descended into obscurity from that point. He was a nut case. This same thread seems to follow at least a half dozen other prominent contactees at that time. They were contacted, were given small proofs, later to be proven fake, and their stories descended into unbelievability with claims that were so obviously just NOT true.

After the early publicity the contactees had received, only to be then proven ridiculous. There was just no way the press could portray the UFO phenomenon as deserving wonder, awe and reverence.  The UFOs could then appear when and where they desired to follow their own agenda, safe from scientific or official scrutiny and the US government could wash it's hands of the whole thing.

My personal proof:
Late in 1958, nearly six years after 'Adamski' was branded a ridiculous fake, I saw proof that maybe he wasn't.

I walked out my front door at midday in a small country town in southern Australia and saw a silver dot in the sky with flashing colored lights underneath. I called my parents and my neighbours came over too. The neighbours brought a tripod mounted telescope. We all watched the UFO through the telescope, for 2 ½ hours, while it hovered motionless about 8-10 miles away. It was unmistakably an 'Adamski' style saucer, with one difference, it didn't have round portholes but more rectangular windows with rounded tops. (was it a later model?) If we imagined it, shouldn't it have had round portholes?

The payoff:
If Adamskis saucer photo was a fake, then who made this saucer? The government? Or did the aliens copy 'Adamskis' design? Obviously his photo was not a fake. Just how much then of the rest of his story was true? Did he concoct the whole thing or did he himself believe the whole story to be true because that's what he was told, and believed what he was shown? He was almost a professional con artist and I believe he was not a fool. He should have been adept at providing stories which could not be proven false. Con men always make their stories plausible and make no money out of being made to look like a fool.

'Adamski' and the other contactees didn't choose to look like fools, so then I believe they were made to look like fools by the aliens. The reasons are obvious. Anyone now seeing a UFO can be branded as being an idiot and even in the case of multiple witnesses, the press cannot report it without reference to snide and derogatory humor. This deters witnesses from reporting incidents as well as preventing sane people from studying or financing the scientific inquiry into the phenomenon.

They Lie. Why?
One of the major threads that connect nearly all cases where people have had verbal exchanges with aliens is that THE ALIENS LIE. This lying started with 'Adamski' and the other contactees back in 1950-52. They lie about who they are, where they are from, what they are doing, and most of all they lie about their reasons for being here.

Most researchers will agree with this. Most believe however, that it is to cover up the real reasons for being here (or where they are from, etc.) I believe the reasons they lie, and do so in what is often an idiotic and completely incompetent way, is to deliberately bring ridicule upon the witness so that the phenomenon can be so disreputable as to be completely disregarded by the rest of the nation, its officials and its scientific fraternity.
